Sessions descriptor

Higher education in the advent of AI

How is AI transforming teaching? What behavioral changes are emerging in students? How should teaching practices adapt? Can AI both aid and hinder the learning process? These critical questions will help our Alliance better understand the profound impact of AI on education.

Perspectives on future skills

Technological shifts, geopolitical tensions, economic uncertainty, demographic changes, and the green transition are reshaping the global labour market. Join us to explore how these trends will impact jobs and skills by 2025-2030—and how the internationalization of education can help address these challenges.

Internationalisation: from course to programme

Curriculum internationalisation often focuses on semester-long physical mobilities, but a wealth of opportunities lies in Internationalisation at Home (IaH). Together, we’ll explore how to enhance the attractiveness of internationalised curricula without transforming everything. Providing learners with an international education at home is becoming essential, fostering competitiveness, professional readiness, and key skills for a globalized job market. We will express the avenue EDUC is exploring as a European Alliance.

Forging International connections: Steps to initiate and build successful international partnerships

Discover how to find the right partners and build lasting collaborations in education. We'll cover key steps for fostering mutual trust, tools for effective match-making, and strategies for sustainable partnerships.

A course idea? Build it into a project!

What does it take to turn your idea into a successfully internationalised course? Together, we’ll explore the entire project cycle—from drafting a concept note and building partnerships to adapting curricula and beyond.

Rethinking student evaluation in the age of Generative AI

As higher education embraces internationalization, remote assessment faces new challenges with the rise of generative AI tools. How can we ensure we are truly evaluating the right skills and knowledge in distance learning?

This workshop offers a space to critically examine assessment practices in an AI-driven context. Together, we’ll explore strategies and tools to maintain valid, meaningful assessments that align with learning outcomes in a global, digital learning landscape.

Overcome challenges in developing a course

We all have the right to make mistakes—it's how we learn! In this session, we'll explore and analyze internationalization projects, focusing on the challenges faced and the guiding principles that helped navigate and overcome them.

Embedding courses in academic systems – long-term internationalisation

This workshop will explore integrating partner university courses into sustainable academic systems. We'll cover key steps for embedding them locally, ensuring recognition of students' international experiences through a collaborative, holistic approach.

How to kick-start internationalisation through the EDUC Moodle

How can e-tools transform student interactions and foster collaboration among educators? What challenges and opportunities arise from integrating digital tools into course design? Whether you're new to or experienced with e-learning tools, join us to explore and share practical best practices for enhancing student engagement and fostering collaboration among teachers.

Understanding and sharing grading practices

This workshop will explore the diversity of grading systems and assessment practices within the EDUC Alliance. Participants will compare national approaches, discuss challenges in grade conversion, and reflect on creating a shared score conversion table. Key topics include ECTS workload interpretation (face-to-face vs. independent work), recognition of distance learning formats, and the evaluation criteria behind grades. Let’s promote transparency, comparability, and fairness in cross-border academic evaluation.
