On 20 and 21 November 2023, the University Paris Nanterre (UPN) received a visit from a delegation from the University of South-East Norway (USN), one of its partners in the EDUC Alliance, to discuss the development of new cooperation projects between the two institutions in the fields of education, research and culture.
The visit took place within the framework of the USN Culture project, which aims to develop multidisciplinary research and establish new study and postgraduate teaching programmes that contribute to meet and strengthen the skills needs of the arts and culture in various fields, as well as facilitating collaboration between professional communities and strategic partners at regional, national and international level.
A full two-day programme was organised for the occasion, enabling the USN team to meet with the presidential team and representatives of the various departments and organisations attached to UPN, as well as to take part in meetings and working groups by theme. The programme included a tour of the university campus, the delegation's participation in the opening show of the "Nanterre sur Scène" student performing arts festival, as well as a visit to the Maison des Sciences de l'Homme Mondes (MSHM), the Gamelan workshop and a guided tour of the temporary exhibition "Ripostes! Archives de luttes et d'actions, 1970-1974", organised by La Contemporaine.
This highly productive first meeting promises future exchanges and the development of international collaborations in the fields of cultural action, languages, sport and physical activities, culture and heritage, sustainable development and teacher training.
