
From May 19 to 23, the University of Rennes welcomed the dynamic presence of 46 strategic partners from 13 countries. (Germany, Spain, Italy, Georgia, Norway, Japan, Canada, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Hungary, the UK, Poland, and France) for the International Staff Week 2025. Among them, a large number of colleagues from the EDUC alliance universities and French Georgian consortium universities. This gathering of professionals created a space for learning, sharing, and strenghtening connections across borders.
A week of achievements
Over five dynamic days, attendees engaged in workshops, collaborative discussions, and skill-building activities, focusing on three main themes:

International Relations
The spotlight was on sustainability in internationalization, where participants exchanged innovative ideas to adapt global education initiatives for a sustainable future. Discussions revolved around creating impactful activities that remain relevant and engaging in an evolving world.
Finances
Higher education institutions face unique challenges in financial management. This track provided a platform for participants to tackle these complexities, share effective strategies, and brainstorm solutions tailored to the needs of the sector.
Libraries & Open Science
Libraries are at the forefront of implementing open science principles. During the week, participants explored ways to enhance data collection, preserve research source codes, and develop robust open archives. These discussions emphasized the crucial role libraries play in democratizing access to knowledge.
Beyond the Workshops
The International Staff Week extended far beyond professional development. Cultural and social activities offered participants the chance to immerse themselves in the rich heritage of Rennes, Saint-Malo and Mont Saint-Michel while fostering connections in a relaxed atmosphere.
